Working principle of permanent magnetic coupling
The permanent magnetic coupling achieves a mechanical-free connection between the driving (motor) and driven (load) components through the air gap between the conductor rotor and the permanent magnet rotor. Its working principle involves the relative movement between the two components, where the conductor component cuts through magnetic field lines, inducing eddy currents within the conductor. These eddy currents generate a counter magnetic field, interacting with the magnetic field produced by the permanent magnet, thus enabling torque transmission between the two components.
The permanent magnetic coupling primarily consists of two parts: the conductor rotor and the permanent magnet rotor. The conductor rotor is fixed on the motor shaft, while the permanent magnet rotor is fixed on the load shaft. there is an air gap between the conductor rotor and the permanent magnet rotor, which makes the connection between the motor and the load transition from a hard connection to a soft connection without mechanical contact.
